Masculine Make Monday: Quirky Critters Narwhal

Hi folks,

I hope that you are well and are enjoying some fun and crafty times!

Todays masculine make includes an adorable Narwhal from the Stampin’ Up! set called Quirky Critters:

A tonal colour scheme shows of this image perfectly.

I knew that to keep this card on a masculine theme required simple embellishments and a fresh colour scheme. That being said, I didn’t want it to be so plain that it was dull.

I decided to use a grey, striped card to make the card base itself, to add both interest and the appearance of texture.

Simple layers were built up to add a focal point. I die cut the Narwhal image using an oval die, after I had coloured it using my pro-markers. Whilst colouring I decided to add a few splash shapes by the tail – I drew them with my black Memento ink pen which is alcohol marker safe. I then layered the image die cut, onto an aqua, scalloped oval die cut shape.

For the sentiment I used the word ‘happy’ as a die cut and paired it with the word ‘birthday’ stamped in the same black Memento ink onto white card. Card complete!

I hope that you have enjoyed todays card share and will come back again soon!

Take care folks and Happy Crafting!
