Friday Fun: Kraft Cards + Foiling

Hi folks,

I hope that you are all well and are having some fun and crafty times šŸ™‚

Today I am sharing a card using the same We Are Memory Keepers aqua foiled, kraft card stack. I really love this little mini stack!

I wanted to make a selection of cards using die cut circles and greetings.

Now as you may be able to tell, there is some slight warping to theses cards. I had used a new wet adhesive for the first time without pre-testing it. The kraft foiled panels are thinner than the card stock that I normally use and it absorbed the glue too much. This resulted in the warping and also the glue lines being visible in some places. The glue I used was Tombow aqua glue – it is an excellent wet glue with thick card and embellishments but is worth testing on the more lightweight papers first. I usually use tape on the thinner papers but like I said, I forgot to test it first šŸ™‚

Okay, so here is a close up look of the finished cards:

I stuck to a simple palette of colours running through all the cards – I used vellum to layer the foiled panel onto the kraft card base. This breaks up the kraft colour without overpowering the card.

I also used the same die set through out – Swirly Bird die set by Stampin’ up!, for the swirled and solid circles.

The papers and the card die cuts are both the focus and the embellishments of the cards:

Subtle shimmer has been added to the sentiment.

The papers are simple but still coordinate.

Thank you for stopping by today – I hope that you are inspired and have enjoyed todays post.

Take Care and Happy Crafting!
