Hi Crafty folks Ms.Rabbit here,
I hope that you are doing well and in the UK, enjoying the bank holiday!
Now before I start I have a very special mention to make; Cobs, from the Cobweborium Emporium Blog, has been very kind and created me my very own signature Gif!! In fact she created a few and if you would like to see which one I chose it is included, for the first time at the end of this post! 🙂
Now Cobs, I hope that I have both saved and inserted it correctly – if not please let me know lol! Thanks again Lovely Lady!!
So to the project! Todays share includes making my own patterned paper using washi tape. I chose to use narrow tape in a variety of colours to make a bright yet simple design:
I used two, smooth white A6 card panels to make the colours pop – I added the washi tape on one panel horizontally and the other on a diagonal slant for variety.
I had planned to only make Two cards, that is, one A6 striped panel per card. Once I had the completed washi panels though I decided to make four A6 cards so I could get as many fun backgrounds as possible!
As I wanted the panels to be the main focus, I kept the card bases themselves fairly simple. I made two white, textured A6 card bases and two navy blue, smooth A6 card bases. The White card is 320gsm card from The Range, (UK), and the Navy card is from Stampin’ Up!.
I already had a picture in my mind of the sentiment being a raised die cut – as I was looking for the right card to use I happened upon some glitter fun-foam!! Perfect! I picked Silver Mirri card for the Navy cards and a zesty green, glitter fun-foam for the White cards:
For the finishing touches I added some colourful, flat sequins plus a banner strip to complete the sentiments. The sentiments have been heat embossed in White.
I decorated the card interiors and the envelopes using a ‘spotty’ stamp and matching ink colours:
Thank you so much for popping over, more photos are included at the end of this post 🙂
Take care and Happy Crafting!!
