Hi crafty folk, I hope that you are doing well 🙂

Todays share is a craft genre that I am totally engrossed in – Altered Art. Taking one Item and changing it up then adding a variety of art mediums to the piece for both aesthetics and just because you can!

The piece I have altered is a coffee tin. I have been collecting large Panetone containers to use as wool storage for my crochet projects. My partner let it be known that he also had some large, empty coffee tins at work that I could have if I so desired ….. and of course, I did! He gave me two circular tins and one, round cornered,  rectangular tin and this is the one in todays project.

So here goes:

As you can see, i have covered the container with decorative paper and added a selection of lave and ribbons. The lid I  decopaged in the same paper plus and then added a layer of white tissue paper to soften the effect.

To finish the project I added a frame, die cut heart plus a small paper flower cluster.
