Friday Fun: 3D Card-in-a-Box, Baby Girl

Hi all,

Today I’m going to share the first Card-in-a-box that I have ever made! I’ve been planning on making one of these style cards for quite a while, I  just have not had the time to start from scratch with a new technique.

I finally decided to make it in stages:

  1. Firstly I searched for a tutorial with measurements included, as that was one area that I could save time with. There are quite a few generic templates out there so go for it!
  2. Next I took the measurements that I had found and tweaked them slightly to be able to get two card bases from one sheet of UK A4 card.
  3. For the second session the following evening, I cut and scored two bases ready to decorate.
  4. Day 3 found me decorating the card with panels and stamped images that I both hand cut out and punched out.

Voila – project complete!

Here is the finished project:

I chose cream card as the base and used Calypso Coral – a soft pink ink by Stampin’ Up!

I used a selection of stamps and matching punches and added vellum leaves.

Any questions please ask away 🙂

Take Care and Happy Crafting!!
