Hey folks I hope that you week is going well?
Todays share is a quick project using some bits and pieces that I had lying around – A tag from a new jumper; A flower that had fallen off of a decorative stem and a note-book that I wanted to decorate !
So here goes:-
This is what I started with plus some of the equipment that I planned on using:
I started by laying all the items onto the notebook in the positions that I wanted them:
Next I started adhering the embellishments on one by one:
I started by first gluing on the length of ribbon that I’m going to use as a closure. I also used glue dots – one near each outer end, to keep the ribbon in place whilst the glue dried. I then added on a strip of washi tape in a Teal colour – as I looked at the original layout I decided that I wanted an extra pop of colour.
I adhered the twist of natural rope twine with glue dots to keep it extra secure.
When it came to adding on the tag, I distressed the edges with my scissor blades for definition and texture. I used foam tape plus a wet glue to make sure that the tag stays put!
The flower was put in position and stuck down with a strong wet glue. To make sure it laid flat, I trimmed the stem on the back as close to the base as possible.
There it is – the final result!
This project took about 15 minutes to complete and made use of a few odds and ends that I wanted to put to good use.
I hope that you feel inspired to make use of those bits and pieces that get hoarded for later 🙂
Thank you for popping by,
Take care and Happy Crafting Folks 🙂 !!
For something that took so little time, it looks fantastic! 🙂
