Hi folks,
I hope that you are enjoying some lovely crafty times 🙂
Today I’d like to share a quick and simple wreath that I have made. Now, I had no intentions of making a wreath when I started – I was simply paying with two new Stampin’ Up! punches that I had just bought, in the Weekly Deals Sale:
Of course the punches can be any that you may already own, you can hand cut similar shapes or even use metal dies if you have some, to achieve great results.
I started playing around with some scraps of paper and started layering them with some other punches that I own:
As you can see above, I included the Bracket Label punch shapes too. I just snipped into each shape diagonally and added dimension by creasing the ‘petals’ down the centres:
As you can see, just making a slight change can give very different results. This also is an example of taking something you may already have and using it in a different way 🙂
Once I had finished playing about, I didn’t want to just throw away the flowers; so I started to think what I could do with them lol! whilst rummaging I found a small polystyrene wreath left over from last Christmas. I covered it with Burlap ribbon, some burlap threads and added the flowers I had made.
To finish of I added some Pearl head sewing pins in complementary colours – this also ensures the ribbon is secure. I added a loop for hanging and there you go – I am very pleased with the result:
I hope that you have enjoyed this post,
Take Care and Happy Crafting,
Jenny 🙂
