Hi all,
I hope that you are, or have been, enjoying some wonderful crafting times 🙂
Todays project is one that I made as a gift. I used a plain wooden jewellery box as my base, however I put it to a different use:

Retro styled recipe box.

I inked the edges of the box to give a more aged feel.

Before covering the box with decorative paper, I removed all the hardware and then added back on the finished project.

I used a selection of washi tapes as banners, to create a focal point for the front main panel.
As for the inside of the box, I removed the partition sections and painted white Gesso over the edges:

The interior of the recipe box: I added some partition sections for recipe cards to be stored in.

I layered some cork hearts together to make a mini pin board, for notes or ideas.

Wooden heart pegs for grouping items together.

Peg close up: layered sentiments, a doily and washi tape banners.

Pin board close up: layered cork hearts.
I hope that you have enjoyed my project share: I also I hope it inspires you to think outside the box – and save the box for later 🙂
Take Care and Happy Crafting folks!
