Flower Topiary Tree: Upcycled

Hi all,

Today I would like to share an up-cycled project of mine.  This project was originally a gift that my daughter received from a very talented Aunty – The tree was originally covered in Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

This is what I did with the gift, once the chocolates were all gone:

The plant pot was originally terracotta, so I painted it with white gesso to tie in with my chosen colour scheme: White and Gold.

I used a selection of faux fabric and foam flowers. I also added in some glittered Gold foliage, which I cut from some decorative sprays.

A selection of faux flowers were used within the arrangement.

To fix the flowers to the polystyrene ball that is the centre of the arrangement, I used a hot glue gun.

For some extra detail, I attached pearls and inserted Diamante pins throughout:

For the finishing touches to the base, I covered the cement – used to weight down the arrangement – with sphagnum moss and added a diamante tiara:

I hope that you have enjoyed todays share; As always any questions are most welcome.

Take care and Happy Crafting!!
