Bright and Breezy Watercolour Cards

Hey Folks,

I hope that you are all well and enjoying some fun and frequent crafty times 🙂

I would like to share a couple of cards that I have made using both stamping and water colour painting:

Watercolour cards: Bright and breezy.

Watercolour cards: Bright and breezy.

Both images were stamped with Staz’ On ink and  then painted in with just some basic watercolour tube paints. I added a light blue wash behind each image to add depth and detail.

Bright washes of colour - uneven strokes add depth and texture.

For the inside and envelope decoration, I stamped the image in the black Staz’ on only, then filled in the image with the clear, wink of Stella Brush Pen for some subtle shimmer.

Monochrome plus shimmer.

I hope that you find these techniques inspiring and give water colour painting with stamped images a go. Remember, water colour painting is very forgiving so don’t be afraid.
