Hi all, back again to share another craft make 🙂
This time I was inspired to make a Wedding Invitation card. I wanted to achieve a laser cut effect and I knew I wanted to use Blackberry Bliss cardstock by Stampin’ up! It’s my current favourite! I paired it with a warm creamy white card for contrast.
Here is the end result:
I had the basic idea in my mind. I started to gather together the supplies that I needed by getting my cardstock ready and trimming it to size – the closed size is 6”x 6”.
I then cut the cream Panel to 6″ x 6″ and used a border die by Memory Box called Bursting Berry Vine.
I then went on to add my chosen wedding sentiment – stamped in the colour matched Blackberry Bliss by Stampin’ up! – and added the lace. The stamp I used was part of a free gift set which was included with a craft magazine a few years ago.
I then went on to the inside panel. I stamped with the same ink as before and used the Flowering Flourishes stamp set, also by Stampin’ up!
Before I adhered the panel down, I noticed that a closure of some description would be needed. I chose an off white organza ribbon so as not to distract from the main image, but would still work with the over all design. I did not want the ribbon adhered to the back of the invite card, as the adhesive would be visible through the sheer ribbon; This is why I chose to adhere it underneath the inside panel.
I added my personalized stamp – e bay purchase – to the reverse of the card and also decorated the envelope.
I always like to decorate envelopes as I think its like a sneak peek for the main design, plus I get to craft that little bit longer 🙂
For a finishing touch I added a few small diamantes to the flower flourishes and the card front – I used a pale purple colour and clear diamantes. I just wanted a slight sparkle for this invite, not an overload of gems.
Thank you for popping by, I hope that you feel inspired and enjoy some creative times.
Take care and Happy crafting!!
