Mothers Day Make

Hi and welcome,

Well in two days here in the U.K., it’s mothers day. I thought I’d quickly share a  card I made for my lovely Nan. The card itself isn’t a quick make but neither does it take all day.
I wanted to watercolour on this card and also to use a Fushcia flower stamp set.
To add some subtle shimmer, I used my clear Wink if Stella brush marker to watercolour with:

Water colouring with the Zig,, Wink of Stella brush pen in clear.

To achieve this technique I used my Distress inks as they are brilliant for working well with water. I dabbed the ink pad directly onto my non stick craft sheet but any smooth non porous surface works. I added water to the ink and then picked up the colour with my wink of stella pen(clear). It becomes the paint brush and also adds the subtle shimmer from the pen.

I wanted to use a bright and cheerful colour palette so I added lots of paper layers:

Nitwit paper pack.

I added some pearls and lace to embellish, then I decorated the envelope to match:

I’m really pleased with the end result and think I achieved a bright and cheerful card:

Thanks for popping by, take care and Happy Crafting!!
