Hi all,
Today I would like to share an Easter Card that I have made. I subscribe to a couple of craft magazines and this months free gift was a Dragonfly stamp and die cut set, (Simply Cards and Papercraft). As soon as I got them I saw bunny ears 🙂 !!
I wanted to create a card with a scene – A grassy field with bunny ears peeking out.
For my first card, I stamped the dragonfly wings with a soft grey and highlighted the inner ‘ear’ with Distress ink in Spun sugar. I dabbed the ink pad onto my craft mat and used my Clear Wink of Stella brush pen to apply it. It adds a nice subtle shimmer I think.
I then picked the patterned papers that I wanted to use and used a grass die cut to cut the lower panels.
I layered these onto the card base and decided that I wanted to add some extra details.
I fussy cut some hot air balloons from my paper stack, in three different, sizes going from larger to smaller. I added the largest balloon with a foam pad and covered all three with Glossy Accents for dimension.
I added ribbon the bottom of my panel and a ‘Hoppy Easter’ sentiment. A paper clip bow was my finishing touch.
I hope that you have enjoyed this project, see you next time – Take care and Happy Crafting!!
Awww – Cute card! Perfect for a little one. Great make, and I love the use of the dragonfly die as ears. ~ Cobs. x
