Christmas Advent Calendar

Hi all, hope you are managing to get some crafty time!

Todays post is to show you an Advent Calendar tower that I made as a gift for my parents. The box drawer design is a tutorial from Pootles Papercraft ,  Sam Macdonald aka Pootles.

I used the box drawer to make 25 individual compartments and adhered them together to form the tower.

I used a colour palette of soft Golds and ivory. I wanted to add lots of snowflakes and used die cuts from my collection. The brads are the Antique brads by Stampin ‘up! and I used them for the drawer pulls.

I also used word dies and fancy square die cut outs to layer the embellishments upon. the word dies and the bow dies are also by Stampin’ Up!.

The card I used for the box bases are two Gold tones of Centura Pearl cardstock. The drawers themselves are made from a First Edition Paper stack called Gilded Winter which is beautiful.

I added simple but festive embellishments over the drawers as well as the ledges made by stacking the Drawers.

I also added a base that I made from chipboard covered in centura pearl and decorated the back of the tower.

I decorated the edge of the base with a faux pearl necklace which I had bought from Primark and cut into. I also added lace, braided ribbon trim and a central cluster of glittered leaves, machine cut leaves and faux flowers.

I hope you like this project as much as I enjoyed making it. Please ask any questions and leave any comments as I enjoy receiving your opinions and feed back.

Thanks again and Happy crafting 🙂
