Crafty Baby Shower – A Party Pack Series (pt3)

Hi all, I hope that your week is going well so far 🙂

Today I am going to continue the Baby Shower projects by telling you about a different type of gift box – this time tiny 1″ square and 1″ by 2″ rectangular boxes.

teeny tiny boxes!

These boxes are so cute and adorable yet functional and – when using a higher weight paper or card – quite strong! These are quite simple to make and use very little paper. These were commissioned to hold a different type of gift for the guests gift bags – little handmade soaps !!

Handmade soaps: bear shapes sourced from ebay and hearts made by a family member.

These soaps are so lovely and made a cute addition the Gift bags.

On these boxes I wanted to add some more detail and decided to carry through the butterfly theme. I used two different sized butterfly punches – both from Stampin’ Up! – and layered them together on the top surface of the gift box. I also decided to add some thin paper twine in a soft white. This was not only for decoration but to also keep the boxes closed and the soaps secure during transportation.

Paper twine secures the box closed and keeps the soap securely inside.

After I added the butterfly to the boxes, I chose to add a pale, golden yellow diamante for the finishing touch. I think that these boxes are simple yet elegant and the handmade soaps were a great success.

As you can see below there was quite a selection of the boxes and the papers are still going a long way:)
