Crafty Baby Shower – A Party Pack Series (part1)

Hi all,

Finally – and as promised – here is the Blog start of one of my most recent projects.

I was asked by a good friend to create some decorations, invites and other party paraphernalia, for a baby shower for her sister in law.

The colour scheme was to be gender neutral and had to have a Green baby involved 🙂   (The  young son of the parents-to-be insisted that that was the colour his new baby would be 🙂 lol )

We found a gorgeous paper pack by First Edition Paper called ‘New Leaf by Mindy Teresawa’. The colour palette in this particular paper selection compromises of neutral light Browns and Tans with accents of Olive Green, Aqua tones and a lovely bright Coral Orange.

The above picture shows both the inside of one of the Invitations and also the envelope. The stamps I used are by Stampin’ Up and are called the ‘Sweetest Gift’ stamp set. I also used other sentiment stamps etc. from my stamp collection.

The above photograph shows an assortment of the finished invites, show casing the variation of the papers. Although different paper patterns were used for the invites – not one same design for every invite – they still look cohesive as they are all from the same colour palette / paper stack.

There are two ribbons that I used to embellish these invites; The first was an Aqua coloured satin ribbon, which I then layered with the second, more detailed ribbon in co-ordinating colours. (Bought from a large haberdashery store).

To add the finishing touch to these invites I used a trio of ‘Card Candi’ raised up on adhesive foam pads.

I am very pleased with the outcome, although, (and more importantly 🙂   ),  both my friend and the expectant mother-to-be were too.

Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to comment and /or criticise – I appreciate the feedback 🙂

Happy crafting and I will be back soon with another item from the Crafty Baby Shower : A Party Pack Series.

  1. Aw those are so pretty! They’re almost ice cream colours which you’d find in one of those posh ice cream parlours.

My favourite is the stalk. There’s something about him/her which is cuter than the stalk stamps I’ve seen before.

Well done. Thee are great! ~ Cobs. x
