This card came about because I wanted to create a feminine card that wasn’t to girly. I started by picking the colour scheme and decided to use Pale Blue with Black added to create a strong look. Luckily I found a vellum sheet in my stash that worked perfectly – the pattern is feminine without to much flourish.
I decided to use Raffia ribbon for an unfussy, natural embellishment. I wanted to use punched out shapes for decoration and decided upon the Boho Blossom punch by Stampin’ Up!. This punch although floral gives you simple but modern flowers which I thought would be just right for this project.
I layered the same background vellum onto a white strip of card to give separation and a bordered panel. I stamped the sentiment- also from Stampin’ Up!-ย onto a piece of Black card using Versamark ink and white heat embossing powder. I added Pale Blue and Clear diamantes for simple sparkle.
I added the raffia and the punched flowers into a cluster with diamantes for flower centre and repeated the look on the cards inside and onto the Evelope to create a cohesive look and a matching set.
I really enjoyed thinking through and creating this project. I hope you like it and Happy Crafting!! :
