Handmade Card: Vintage Purples

Bleach technique on colour core cardstock.

Bleach technique on colour core cardstock.

As this is one of my first posts I decided to upload a card I made a short while ago. Purple is one of my favourite colour palettes to use. I used a technique to make my own background paper which I was taught at a craft workshop taught by my good friend Jayne. I achieved this by using colour core card stock which is then stamped over with bleach water solution – of course always rinse stamps with water immediately after use. This reveals a contrasting colour; In this case I used a Purple card which revealed an Aqua colour contrast.

I really enjoy layering and embellishing and I really embellished this card…a lot! Layering card mats with heat embossed panels, Ribbons and flowers in a huge cluster. I then added buttons and trinkets for extra interest.  I really enjoyed both this technique and the projects made afterwards 🙂 Take care and Happy Crafting!!
